Oceans
Engulfed in her breast
My soul acquiesced
Every exhaled breath
Embodied in my chest
I float above her depth
Letting myself go
In the starry night
My only source of light is the
Moon’s reflection on the
Water’s surface while we
Drift away together
Tonight or for forever
Within the ocean so alive
This breathing creatures ebb and tide
Will solve all my conundrums
Ease away all of my problems
What lurks beneath the ocean sea
Slides in an accord with me
Look out, far as you can see
Closer there you might find me
I don’t know
Where she’ll let me go
But in her I trust
A certain “mother’s touch”
In the cold is where I’m from
Said I don’t know how I got to this town
But I walked and talked my way through
And let myself be led to something so brand new
Said I left you that’s when I knew
Said I left you that’s when I knew
Said I left you that’s when I knew
Another summer would never do
I said Hey
Hey Hey Hey
Hey Hey Hey
I’m back on shore!
